Bling ring-ing it up

These are from the LA leg of the trip (which now seems eons ago). I got the dress for 5 bucks from Cotton On. Sweet. We went to Santa Monica Beach that day - walked along the shore, had a cold latte on the pier, secretly hoping to spot a specific film crew somewhere in the premises (actually anywhere in the city). Well guess what? Two weeks or so after that, the Veronica Mars cast, namely the sassy blonde herself, Ms Kristen Bell, was filming in Santa Monica Beach. Say whaatt? Right? At least I can say I walked the pier where they were. Breathed the same salty air. Stepped on the same fine sand... haha, yeah, nuts

And to continue our trivia segment, here's one: People in LA (or perhaps US in general) don't use the word shooting with regards to making a movie; they say filming instead, since shooting equates to the bad type of shooting. I guess that's the current state of the peace and order in a nutshell.

By the bay

Still in SF and still the same sweater. I like how the slouchy top and baggy pants worked out despite its overall roominess. It's probably my favorite outfit of the trip.

The last photo is our little stroll on the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked like 1/64 of its length before feeling the wobbly floor beneath us and quickly headed back. And trivia? The bridge is actually not red; it's painted international orange. Uh huh, educational tidbit right here.

Color up

Here's a toast to color. I'd love to pair these with some royal blue flats, but for the moment I have some sparkly rubber flats instead. Never thought I would own a pair of jelly shoes one day, but when the underside of the shoes are sparkly too, it's got me convinced.

Non-outfit related:
I started watching The Office again after learning it's ending. I realize no other show makes me laugh more - like laugh-out-loud laugh. How they make hilarious stories out of a dull workplace is amazing. I’ll miss you, Office. And Jim and Pam. Best fictional couple.

PS. Staples recently developed a Dunder Mifflin brand for paper and other office supplies. That’s really smart!

School boy

I couldn't pinpoint at first how these 2 looks seem related to each other, then I realize they're like elementary and high school uniforms for boys, haha. Button-down, khakis, black shoes - check check check! Even though I like florals, lace, flared skirts and all things girly, menswear can be so appealing.

Pink accents

Didn't really know what to wear on this night so I whipped out outfit after outfit but nothing seems to be working. Finally I settled on an old shirt and old skirt which now seem new after months of neglect.

White top + jeans

This top is my favourite F21 find yet. It’s sheer with lace details and pearl buttons - totally girly, but the cropped cut gives it a modern shape. And it’s perfect to pair with boyfriend jeans for a tomboyish edge. Quite happy with this outfit.
